Courses target groups:
These courses are ideally suited for medical and health sciences teaching staff in training, those with educational responsibility and for senior staff who have taken up a new responsibility in education:
- Doctors and other healthcare professionals
- Medical and health teachers
- Hospitals and health institute staff.
CME accreditation:
These courses count towards CME requirements. Certificates of attendance will be provided at the end of the courses.
Location:
The courses are held at the EDC premises, Mac Nemir Avenue and the Omer Beleil’s Skills Centre at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, Khartoum, Sudan.
Khartoum is a safe city; it is situated at the beautiful confluence of the White Nile and the Blue Nile forming the River Nile transverses the Sudan and Egypt to flow into the Mediterranean Sea.
Itinerant workshops:
EDC organizes short workshops at the different states universities in the Sudan on request.
Language:
All courses are conducted in English.

Annual programme will be announced on this website, at the centre and by circular letters. The number of places in each course (workshop) is limited and early booking is advisable.
Registration confirmation:
Your registration will be acknowledged in writing with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form.
Travel & Accommodation:
Khartoum is a popular destination. Most major airlines fly into Khartoum International Airport, which is only 20 minutes by Taxi from the centre of the city. Accommodation can be organized in Khartoum at a wide range of price level. Information will be sent for enrollment of participants.
Social Programme:
These courses provide meeting of people and cultures. A number of social events are organized during the courses where active cultural exchange and getting to know each other in a pleasant atmosphere are on the agenda.
The participants can also discover the delights of Khartoum and enjoy visits to museums and famous areas, and to discover the fascinating Sudanese folklore and dance shows.
Climate:
Khartoum enjoys a reasonable tropical climate. It is hot and dry in May, June, July, raining in August, warm in September and October, mildly warm and cool in November, December, January and February. Throughout the year evenings are quite pleasant.
Hotel Booking information:
The secretariat, upon receipt of the hotel reservation form and appropriate deposit will issue a booking confirmation and balance invoice, with the name and address of your hotel.
Visas:
All participants from other countries require an entry visa from Sudanese Embassies in their respective countries. Early application is recommended.
